Your profile settings allow you to personalize your Socialhose experience and keep your account secure. This guide walks you through managing your personal information, configuring notification preferences, and maintaining a secure password.
Managing Your Profile
Accessing Your Profile
Click your profile icon in the top right corner
Select Profile or Settings
The Profile tab shows your personal information
Editing Your Profile
To edit your profile:
Click the Edit button in the top right of the Profile tab
Update any fields you want to change
Click Save Changes when done
Click Cancel to discard changes
Profile Fields
Basic Information
First Name * - Your given name (required)
Last Name * - Your family name (required)
Email * - Your login email address (required, must be valid format)
Phone - Contact number (optional, must be valid phone format if provided)
Professional Details
Job Title - Your role or position (optional)
Additional Information
Location - Your city, region, or country (optional)
Bio - A brief description about yourself (optional, text area)
Preferences
Timezone - Select your timezone for accurate scheduling and timestamps. Options include all major timezones worldwide.
Language - Choose your preferred interface language:

Field Validation
The profile form validates your input:
First Name - Required, cannot be empty
Last Name - Required, cannot be empty
Email - Required, must be a valid email format
Phone - If provided, must be a valid phone number format
You'll see error messages beneath any fields with invalid input.
Saving Changes
Make your edits while in edit mode
Click Save Changes
A success notification confirms your profile was updated
The page exits edit mode and shows your updated information
Profile Visibility
Your profile information is visible to:
Other members of your organization
Team members you collaborate with
In activity logs and campaign assignments
Best Practices
Keep your name current - Helps team members identify you
Set your timezone correctly - Ensures accurate alert timing and report scheduling
Use a valid email - Required for password resets and important notifications
Add your job title - Helps colleagues understand your role
Notification Preferences
Accessing Notification Settings
Notification preferences are located in the Profile tab, below your personal information:
Go to Settings → Profile
Click Edit to enter edit mode
Scroll down to the Notification Preferences section

Email Notifications
Toggle on/off to receive email notifications about:
Campaign alerts and mentions
Important account updates
System notifications
Default: Enabled
Push Notifications
Toggle on/off to receive browser push notifications for:
Real-time mention alerts
Crisis alerts (if enabled for your campaigns)
Time-sensitive updates
Default: Enabled
Weekly Reports
Toggle on/off to receive weekly summary emails containing:
Campaign performance summaries
Mention counts and trends
Key insights from the past week
Default: Enabled
Marketing Emails
Toggle on/off to receive:
Product announcements
Feature updates
Tips and best practices
Promotional offers
Default: Disabled
Saving Notification Preferences
Toggle the switches for your preferred settings
Click Save Changes
Your notification preferences are updated immediately

Security Settings
Accessing Security Settings
Go to Settings (click your profile icon → Settings)
Click the Security tab
Account Information
The Security tab displays your account information:
Member Since - The date your account was created
Email - Your registered email address
Last Login - When you last logged into your account
This information is read-only and helps you verify your account details.
Changing Your Password
How to Change Your Password
To update your password:
Go to Settings → Security tab
Find the Change Password section
Enter your Current Password
Enter your New Password
Enter your new password again in Confirm New Password
Click Change Password
Password Requirements
Minimum 8 characters
Cannot be the same as your current password
New password and confirmation must match

For a strong password:
Use a password manager - Generate and store strong, unique passwords
Mix character types - Combine letters, numbers, and symbols
Make it long - Longer passwords are more secure
Avoid personal information - Don't use birthdays, names, or common words
Create unique passwords - Don't reuse passwords across different services
Consider passphrases - Multiple random words are strong and memorable
After Changing Your Password
You'll see a success message confirming the change
Use your new password for future logins
Update any password managers you use
Other active sessions may be logged out for security

Forgot Your Password?
If you can't remember your current password and need to reset it:
Log out of your account (if logged in)
Go to the Login page
Click "Forgot Password?" link
Enter your email address
Click Send Reset Link
Check your email for a password reset link
Click the link and create a new password
Note: Password reset links expire after a set period for security. If yours expires, request a new one.
